$22,000 per annum energy spend reduction for Gibbons Real Estate Group

Gibbons Real Estate Group reduced its energy spend by $22,000 per annum after Leading Edge Energy contracted their energy rates early.
We managed to reduce energy costs at Wyong branch by $14,000 per year and their West Gosford site spend by $8,000.
Leading Edge Energy assisted in moving one of Gibbons’ sites resulting in a direct saving of 44% on charges at the site.
We also got a tariff change approved and new energy rates applied retroactively when a tenant moved out during their contract period. This saved Gibbons $2,100 and $700 month ongoing.

St Kevin’s College energy and gas spend reduced by $44,000 per annum

St Kevin’s College is spending $44,000 less on energy and gas per year with Leading Edge Energy’s assistance. After carrying out an energy and gas audit, we combined seven gas accounts into one single plan resulting in $24,000 in savings on gas, per annum.
We combined three small electricity accounts onto one single plan. This reduced the college’s energy spend by $14,000 per annum.
We upgraded one site’s account to the large market specification, which resulted in a direct saving of $6,000 per annum.

$150,000 reduction in energy spend for Blackwall Real Estate

We helped Blackwall Real Estate reduce their energy spend by $150,000 by going to tender on the wholesale electricity market.
Blackwall had a number of sites purchasing energy individually from a range of retailers.
We analysed Blackwall’s group sites setup and immediately identified that we could group them together to leverage more purchasing power on the wholesale market at the ideal time.
We calculated that going to tender on the wholesale market would result in an average 20 percent saving.

$12,900 credit refund for the Port Campbell Hotel

Leading Edge Energy secured a $12,900 credit refund for the Port Campbell Hotel in Victoria after opening a successful case against their energy provider for overcharging.
Our client requested to sign up to a small business plan with Origin Energy.
Origin confirmed they had signed up to the small business plan, but were actually put onto large business default rates at 27.5c/kwh for peak, 15c/kwh for off-peak, plus all other charges.
Leading Edge opened a case with Origin for overcharging. Acknowledging the error Origin provided 13 months’ refund in credit.
