Innova Foods made a direct saving of $4,250 per annum after Leading Edge Energy secured a cheaper natural gas contract on its behalf.

Situation

The company was on a competitive natural gas plan, but we knew we could find a better offer through tender.

Our Energy Management Consultants issued a call for tender and when we received the offers, it became immediately clear that switching to a supply contract made more financial sense.

Innova Foods were looking to secure a wholesale market energy tender, but significant market increases at the time made the option not financially beneficial.

The situation flipped in the space of three days, with a 5 percent price spike on the wholesale market as a result of the imbalance between supply and demand during the summer period.

The company already had a quote offered by their retailer which was more advantageous, so we advised them to sign the direct offer while it was still valid.
