Electricity rates update: December 2017

Electricity rates: Futures prices dropped in all states under review from 1 December 2017 to 10 January 2018. The biggest drops were experienced in Queensland and Victoria with 2.5% and 2.3% respectively. New South Wales followed with 2.1% and South Australia with 1.5%. The average drop in futures prices across the board was of 2.1%. Prices are still up by between 35% and 148% when compared to 24 months ago.
